Women’s Sailing Panel from US Sailing

Tune in to the latest installment in US Sailing’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Series this Wednesday night at 8pm ET. This week social justice advocate Jenn Harkness of the popular Skipper Jenn blog will moderate a panel of female sailors. The conversation will unpack barriers women still face, supporting growth in the community and practical recommendations for sailing organizations looking to improve gender inclusion. The panelists include Charlotte Kaufman, founder of Women Who Sail, the largest online community of female sailors and member of the National Women’s Sailing Association board of directors; Sally Barkow, founder of the Magenta Project, two-time Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year and two-time Volvo Ocean Race participant; Debbie Huntsman, President of the National Women’s Sailing Association; Marie Rogers, the first black female Commodore of the Los Angeles Yacht Club and 2012 LAYC Yachtsman of the Year; and Jeanne Goussev, Captain of Team Sail Like a Girl and 2018 Winner of the Race to Alaska with both the first female team and the first monohull to win.To attend or view a replay, visit US Sailing’s Starboard Portal
